Informed by my Taiwanese upbringing and multinational living experiences, my educational philosophy is based on inclusive, transformative empathy and a creative approach, focusing on the use of multiple perspectives as fundamental to student engagement and empowerment. Every voice counts in my classroom.

Since 2002, I have served as a teacher, student mentor, Asian Club faculty sponsor and now an administrator at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. Trained as a new SEED leader in 2010, I joined the National SEED Project staff team in 2011. Aside from teaching, I had also facilitated SEED seminars for teachers and staff in Arlington Public Schools. Currently I live in Washington DC, with my husband and our spoiled cat Spooky.  

I hold certificates from Shoin University in Kobe, Japan and National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei, Taiwan. I received degrees from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
